Liz and Mark's story...
When Mark and I first started fostering
we weren’t sure what to expect. We have always had cats of
our own but when Pepsi, our last cat, died we thought about
fostering and decided to find out about it.

Why become a
volunteer?
Volunteering is the most worthwhile thing you can ever do. It gives
a real sense of achievement, allows the development of new skills
and the social possibilities are endless!
Much of Cats Protection's work is carried out
by volunteers, many of whom have full time jobs too. You can do lots
of different things, from hands on work with the cats as a fosterer
or cat cuddler, to public relations or fundraising. If you have a
skill then we can use it! All you need to do is get in touch with
us. Examples of some of the roles available are listed below.
Fundraising and Helpline
Shop volunteer, Fundraiser, Helpline Operator.
Fieldwork
Fostering, Feral Trapping, Feline Chauffeur,
Home Visitor.
Communication and PR
Office Worker, Web Editor.
